Hi all! In case you haven’t noticed, GTT is on hiatus as we, the Freaky Team, move into our first home and navigate all the highs and lows that such a B.L.C.E. (Big Life-Changing Event) entails. Thankfully all appears relatively peaceful in the tennis world for now – check out Serena’s Masha-friendly quote, below – but please feel free to comment on all recent tennis developments, large and small, in the comments section! We should be back in business by the time Fedal steps onto North American soil.
I thought I’d leave you with this snippet of inspiration from the always-quotable Serena Williams, here discussing her colleague/rival/fellow tigress Maria Sharapova with reporters during this week’s Stanford Classic tournament (via Tennis.com):
“I really like playing Maria and I really admire her and never giving up and developing the confidence that she has,” Serena said. “Always just walking around and having so much aplomb, it’s good. I always admired that, it’s really cool.”
