One of Roger Federer’s sponsors, Credit Suisse, recently posted this video of the tennis star’s Dubai shoot with top fashion photographer Mario Testino. According to the accompanying article, Roger was posing less than 12 hours after beating Rafael Nadal in November’s World Tour Finals, “victory etched on his face.”
Victory, nature’s beauty elixir:
The photos, apparently taken in Federer’s rented villa near the Arabian Sea, is for a Credit Suisse campaign with the slogan: “Helping Roger Federer Relax Since 1981.” Per the Credit Suisse website: “That’s because in 1981, only a few weeks after he was born, parents Lynette and Robbie Federer opened Roger’s first savings account with the forerunner of today’s Credit Suisse.”
Roger chillin’ in his deluxe kitchen:
Mario Testino first photographed Roger Federer for Vogue’s September issue in 2009. Now friendly, the fashion world photographer presented Roger with a casual family portrait he snapped after bumping into the Fed Fam at Milan Fashion Week.
It’s all just another day in Federer’s elegant universe, I suppose.
Speaking of high end sponsors, Roger was filming a commercial this week for Mercedes Benz. Fed via Facebook: “Just started filming a Mercedes-Benz commercial…it’s with the 2012 SLS AMG Roadster. Awesome machine! They won’t let me take a picture
with it as its not being publicly debuted until June. Security is tight. I might try later.”
Roger just landed in Los Angeles, where he says he’ll be fitting some training in (perhaps with “the pistol”) before Indian Wells begins next week in the desert. (Hey, Rog, if Pete is busy, we could always meet up at Vermont Canyon!)
*Update* Per Justin Gimelstob on Twitter: “The greatest tennis player of all time, Roger Federer is in LA and hit balls 2day w/UCLA Bruin, Adrian Puget”
So was he at UCLA???? Move east, young man. (I still think the best bet is the Beverly Hills Hotel soda fountain. . .)
