Sweet relief. It was all over Roger Federer’s face (and probably mine) during this on-court interview with Jim Courier after Fed beating Gilles Simon in five sets.
I like Jim’s work, but I have to agree with this comment by “Trippylaud” on Youtube:
Courier: “Can you remember the last time you lost in a 3rd round of a major?”
Federer: “The French Open against Gustavo Kuerten in 2004”
Courier: “BEFORE the third round, you lost before the third”
Federer: “I thought Guga was the third round”
Courier: “No, but you had to lose before the third round, aren’t you listening to me?”
He listened all right, Courier you tosser!
Of course Roger’s too polite to say so.
