Team France already lost to Team USA earlier in the week, this particular mixed up doubles match was arranged when both Laura Robson and Francesca Schiavone withdrew from the tournament with injuries (via tennis-x). I’m sure the crowd didn’t mind the substitution.
Oh la la!

The quirky Mahut, currently ranked 132 in the world, who charmed the crowds in Perth this week with his tennis and, uh, Gallic flair, is hoping for a wild card into the Australian Open. Good effort, Nicolas!
