What does Rafael Nadal do when he has shoulder tendinitis? Go to Disneyland…in Paris.. of course.
Rafa was spotted at the Disneyland Paris after making his drop-by appearance at the Paris Masters, after he withdrew from his injury.
“I love this place. I came here a lot of times,” he told the press. “This year I’m going to come back with all the family.”
Ahh, the real reason why you pulled out of the Paris Masters, Rafa. So you can hug fuzzy Disney characters and slurp slushies while riding the tea cup ride. Wonder if that Minnie Mouse actress (or actor) is squealing underneath that costume.
Rafa is scheduled to resume training by the weekend to prepare for the ATP World Tour Finals in London.
“I’m gonna be practising soon, I have to look how the tendinitis improves. But I have two weeks almost before London. I need practice before London a minimum of one week, so I am sure before next Sunday I’ll be practising.”
“The doctor said that if I play here it can be worse. We’re at the end of the season, and I have a lot of matches on my shoulders.
“It’s disappointing not to be here at the last Masters 1000 of the year. It was not an easy decision, because I’ve played all Masters this year, all grand slams.
“But I have to be careful, if I had an injury now can be difficult to play London and to play well in the beginning of the season next year.”
In case you missed these, Rafa was also at Disneyland earlier this year, after winning the French Open
