Roger Federer, defending champ Novak Djokovic and Andy Roddick contribute to a deep field in Basel (is their a chocolate ball bonus pool?). Andy Murray, Robin Soderling and Fernando Verdasco headline the Valencia Open, as well as second Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka. Rafa’s sitting it out this week. Tennis Channel will begin broadcasting both tournaments on Friday, with quarterfinal action. (Look out, because not all the quarterfinals will be shown. Also, Valencia’s coverage is all on a delay.)
