Roger Federer has been hanging out in Shanghai, waiting for the rest of the big guns to arrive to play the second to last Masters 1000 series tournament of the year. Here’s some vid of him arriving – sans Mirka and babies but with new coach Annacone – and being interviewed by media. He says he’s been practicing extremely hard and is ready to go.
Thanks to Barbara for the heads up on the vid!
He’s spent some time at the Mercedes Stars Tennis Clinic:

The Shanghai Masters will feature every member of the ATP Top 20. Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray are in the top end of the draw and Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic anchor the bottom half. Roger better be as fit and ready as he says he is, if he wants to stick around this week – he could play John Isner in his first match. This weekend’s Tokyo finalist, Rafael Nadal, won’t get much rest – he’ll take on the winner of Wawrinka vs. Simon.
Looking forward to a good week of tennis! Hopefully, I’ll get to share it with all of you. Tennis Channel coverage begins Monday at 2:00am, Eastern time. I’ll get the TV schedule up soon.
