Victoria Azarenka collapsed during the 1st set of her match against Gisela Dulko today on GrandStand court. Dulko was leading 5-1 in the 1st set at the time of the collapse. Sounds like maybe the heat may have possibly exacerbated her mild concussion? Either way, a real bummer for Azarenka. Feel better!

“I was warming up in the gym prior to my match against…I fell while running a sprint. I fell and hit my arm and head. I was checked by the medical team before I went on court and they were courtside for monitoring. I felt worse as the match went on, having a headache and feeling dizzy. I started having trouble seeing and felt weak before I fell. I was taken to the hospital for tests and have been diagnosed with a mild concussion.”
