I want to be a groundskeeper at the AELTC.
Roger Federer and his fans prepare for the fortnight.
Roger on his rival: “I want him to play every tournament. I felt like what I saw was the old classic Rafa on clay hardly losing sets and matches. That’s what we got from him. That’s why it’s going to be incredibly hard to beat him here at Wimbledon.”
The old classic Rafa:
Andy Murray, looking like he needs someone to take something off his hands:
Kim Clijsters lost to Victoria Azarenka in the quarterfinals of Eastbourne last week. But Wimbledon and Centre Court hold special inspiration for her – preparing to play last year’s exhibition match under the new roof made her realize she was ready to return to the game.
Venus Williams looks like someone who’s returned home after a long trip:
Serena Williams in her presser:
The problem of how to curtsy in front of the Queen when she visits Wimbledon on Thursday appears to be causing Serena as much concern as her upcoming opponents. “When I found out she was coming to town I thought, ‘Wow, this is really, really cool.’ I’ll be playing Thursday, so hopefully I will have a chance to meet her.”
Serena revealed that she had been working on her curtsy. “It’s a little extreme, so I’m going to have to tone it down.”
Think Maria Sharapova is focused?
Sorting the nets:
Wimbledon begins tomorrow!
