Sorry, everyone, off-court activities here at GTT this weekend delayed my weekend winners post. But I couldn’t let another day go by without congratulating this motley crew.

Sam Querrey won the battle against dope-tainted Wayne Odesnik in the Houston semis, but he lost the war to Juan Ignacio Chela, who beat the American 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 in the final.

The Bryan Brothers kept the “U.S.” in the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championships, winning the doubles title vs. the team of Stephen Huss and Wesley Moodie.

Stanislas Wawrinka defeated Romanian Victor Hanescu 6-2, 6-3 in the finals of Casablanca. This is his first title as a father.

Flavia Pennetta beat Carla Suarez-Navarro 6-2, 4-6 and 6-3 in the finals of the Andalucia Tennis Experience in Marbella, Spain. Love the psychedelic trophy, man.:

Italians swept the tourny, with Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci winning the doubles.

Caroline Wozniacki defeated Olga Govortsova of Belarus 6-2, 7-5 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

“I know I belong,” said the World No. 2 about her place in the game.

And finally. . .Sania Mirza married Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Malik on Monday in Hyderabad. Before the wedding it was revealed that, despite previous protestations to the contrary, Malik was already married to another woman. (Mirza also broke off her previous engagement to family friend Sohrab Mirza.)
