Maria Sharapova met with Buddhist monks in the Thai beach resort town of Hua Hin over the weekend. Per her website, she “performed a traditional Thai greeting after offering alms to Buddhist monks which brings good luck.” Some extra luck never hurts going into a Major!
I just can’t get over how tall she is – her torso keeps going, and going. . .
Radiant as always:
Speaking of radiant, I’m loving Maria’s Nike tennis dress. Hopefully she’ll wear this at the Australian Open:
Her opponent during Saturday’s exhibition match also wore hot pink – not bad, but I do hope Venus unveils a new look sometime soon.
Maria won the match, which was “organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Thailand’s beach resort city of Hua Hin” in straight sets: 6-3, 6-4.
Maria will continue her Asian exhibition tour later this week, when she teams up with Vera Zvonareva and Yevgeny Kafelnikov in the Hong Kong Tennis Classic. (Yep, Marat Safin withdrew from Team Russia with a wrist injury – BOO!)
