
Andy Murray made news this fall when he dropped sponsor Fred Perry and followed the money to adidas. The five year deal is reportedly worth between £10 – £15 million. Did adidas have anything left over to pay its designers? You be the judge.
Here’s Andy Murray’s 2010 Australian Open outfit (via allineedisapicketfence ):

Via adidas: “Andy will debut his exclusive adidas Competition and Barricade colourways alongside fellow Briton Laura Robson, at the Hopman Cup in Perth, Australia in early January.”

I don’t hate it. The blue shirt/white shorts combo is as good as anything we’ve seen from adidas lately, and it’s certainly a step up from the drab stuff Fred Perry put him in (Wimbledon shorty shorts excepted.)
And it would take Bethanie Mattek-Sands to come up with something crazier than what adidas designed for Fernando Verdasco’s Australian Open kit. Though I must admit, it’s kind of growing on me now that I’m reminded how boring men’s tennis gear is:
