After pulling out of tournaments in Tokyo and Shanghai and spending weeks out of the public eye, Roger Federer resurfaced on Facebook today to announce he’s ready to defend his title next week* in Basel:
Here’s the rest of Roger Federer’s 2009 schedule: next week’s Davidoff Swiss Indoors (where he’s going for his 4th straight title), the BNP Paribas Masters 1000 a.k.a. Bercy (starting November 9), and, of course, the ATP World Tour Finals (a.k.a the WTF!) in London starting November 22. Roger’s also signed on to play in the Capitala World Championship exhibition tournament in Doha from December 31 – January 2.
Great news for those of us facing Federer withdrawal! Maybe the babies will even make a home-town appearance, too.
*I was jumping the gun with “next week” – the Basel Indoors is the first week of November.
