*UPDATED on Friday, September 25!*
For those who can’t get enough of Fashionister Federer, here’s a shot of Roger at Friday’s Versace show. Some “on the Scene” tweeting follows:
The fashion world is all “atweet” about Roger’s appearance in Milan. Here are some samples:
Lorraine Candy (Editrix of British Elle) on Friday morning: “Where’s Roger Federer this morning? I didn’t see him at breakfast. Anyone spotted R-Fed? Will he be a Versace today?”
“NicholasMe“: “Anna Wintour w/ roger federer and wife speeding off from the Park Hyatt Milano- heading to Versace?”
“Fashion_Critic_“: “Anna Wintour and Roger Federer arrive together at the Versace show sending the paps crazy. 3 row behind them and i’m going blind“
The boring old AP: “Janet Jackson, Roger Federer with wife Mirka, and Rupert Everett all take in Donatella Versace’s 2010 spring/summer collection in Milan.”
The official ELLEUK twit goes a little sour grapesy on Wintour’s boy toy: “Big day in Milan for Team Elle: Alberta Ferretti, Versace and Jil Sander. Hoping for more celebrity glamour than Roger Federer, frankly.”
And I love this quote from Fashion Week Daily: “(An editor at Vanity Fair) also playfully took a photo of Federer‘s seat card at Prada. By the way, a certain market editor snatched that artifact as soon as the Grand Slam champion lifted his behind after Prada.”
*END OF UPDATES*
Roger “Fashionister” Federer attended Milan Fashion week on Thursday with his wife, Mirka, and Vogue Fedophile-in-chief, Anna Wintour.
From Fashion Week Daily:
“Fashion shuttle” Continental Flight #44 landed merely hours ago, but the season in Milan is officially in session–even before editors have had time to properly check in at the Principe. First star sighting of the week? Roger Federer, who arrived at the Giorgio Armani show on the arm of Anna Wintour. (Wife Mirka Vavrinec was on the other arm.) Avec four bodyguards, Federer chatted with Wintour while Vavrinec caught up with Linda Wells. “Giorgio is a real class act,” Federer told The Daily while exiting Armani HQ. “He’s just a legend. We didn’t expect the show to be such a spectacle but I had a week off, so why not? And Giorgio saw me play my country, now I’m in his.”
I don’t get that last line from Roger – Davis Cup was in Italy, right? Does he mean the Tennis Country vs. Fashion Country? Maybe Fed’s just getting a little delirious. . .from exhaustion or perfume, I’m not sure.
The NY Times reports that Federer also showed up at Prada: “On hand for one of the most-sought after-shows in town was tennis star Roger Federer in an impeccable gray suit and tie.”
Here are some photos of Fashion’s Favorite Threesome going into the Giorgio Armani Show on Thursday.
Sorry for the watermark, but I had to post these. Care to caption?
So if Roger wore a sweater to Armani and a suit to Prada, does that mean Anna helped him change, Rachel Zoe style, in the limo?
(Sorry no photos of that “impeccable” suit yet!)
