The WTA tour is in Toronto this week for its version of the Rogers Cup tournament, part of the US Open Series.
On paper quarterfinals: Safina vs. Jankovic and Venus vs. Zvonareva on the top half and Kuznetsova vs. Dementieva and Wozniacki vs. Serena on the bottom. Maria Sharapova is in Zvonareva’s section, and Kim Clijsters is in Jankovic’s section.
ESPN2 and Tennis Channel will be sharing broadcasting duties starting with Friday’s quarterfinals. The singles final will be shown live on ESPN2.
