Ana Ivanovic needed three sets to beat a very game Vania King on Tuesday evening at the LA Women’s Tennis Open: 6-4, 4-6, 6-1. Ana said she was happy with her play, considering it was her first competitive match since Wimbledon.
I did a loose fist pump vs. caught ball toss tally and totaled 17 fist pumps to 16 caught ball tosses. Obviously this means nothing, but it was fun to keep track.
Also, randomly, we caught Aleksandra Wozniak, Zheng Jie, and Marion Bartoli at an autograph session. (Marion pulled out of the tournament after winning in Stanford this weekend but was here to do media.)
Enjoy!
