At all those criticizing Mirka’s outfit – I honestly don’t believe you can get anything formal for that stage of pregnancy, since 99.999% of women just stay home at that time. Even fussing around with a shawl or something like that becomes difficult.
I simply admire her for sitting through that epic final in the crowded, uncomfortable box (my son was joking that Fed might become the first player to retire from a Grand Slam final due to the onset of labour!) and finding the energy and will to even go out in the evening.

Hi shi meng. Yeah according to Strokes of Genius Anna mails suits to Roger. Or at least used to. Don’t know what the story is now! But his off court style has definitely improved over the years.

ROGER IS SO GORGEOUS! Love the suit and GOD those are some ridiculously pointy shoes..

Really? Anna Wintour is his stylist? I thought she might just give him some fashion tip.

I adore his curly hair and cute baby eyes. Of course every part you guys mentioned I like too^^ Guess I just can’t get enough of this guy!

Roger as 007 – that’s a thought! He definitely has the look, but somehow I can’t imagine him saying the corny lines without giggling…which of course makes the image that much better.

i love roger’s hands too! and i think mirka’s pink sweater is adorable. and the gorgeous large watch is quite fashionable. i think her look is glam and laidback–love it. oh and i have the same dress, so im a little biased and yes, roger def. wears suits well. swoon. roger the next 007…

C.F. I agree with you on all points! I think Mirka’s ensemble is a little casual, but she probably didn’t want to buy an ugly pregnant lady ballgown. Or maybe she did have one, but got back to the house after the match and thought “ooooh. . .jersey knit dress and flat sandals, I can’t resist you!”

I did see Serena’s dress and think “sexy witch” but agree that it looks less severe on her. Maybe because of her happy hair and big smile.

Oh! Rod Laver and David Bowie should star in a commercial TOGETHER! They could make bran cereal cool.

IF I were to admit to any fetishes (fetishi?) I would say hands, hair and practice t-shirts.

I’ll have to keep an eye on those brows, though!

Speaking of the hair – I love how for formal events Roger squashes it down a little bit, so it almost looks like painted on doll hair.

Watching Roger’s left hand is one of my favorite things about his game. Here he is, totally focused on getting the job done with his right hand, and yet his forgotten left hand fairly hums with energy. I was always getting in trouble with my ballet teacher because my hands didn’t project enough energy – well, she would have loved the wide open, elegant fingers of Roger’s left hand.

I honestly think it’s a key to his incredible movement – not in the sense of his having studied ballet dancers to learn better balance, not at all. On the contrary, I can’t imagine he ever thought about what his left hand looks like, and yet there’s the perfect form of a dancer. It’s just an innate grace that most mortals don’t possess.

I agree about Mirka’s sweater, but she deserves a pass. Can you imagine sitting through that epic match and then going home to get dressed up for a glamourous awards banquet when you’re 8 and 3/4 months pregnant? She probably wished she could’ve worn sweats and her fuzzy bunny slippers! : – )
