Don’t worry freakyfrites … i think Roger will come through. But karlovic is also NOT a good prospect. Guy doesn’t give the player across the net any rhythm.

Given NBCs track record – 10-1 on Monday will not be “live” – but on tape. Prob the Federer match as it is the first on Centre Court. Another morning of using web for scoring – assuming Federer match will be blocked on ESPN360.

Thanks for the Croatian insight, annarien! I’m glad to hear the unassuming guy is getting some recognition in his own country, but I agree that it’s a little overly optimistic (I hope!) to crown him King of Wimbledon.

Just like all the analysts say – it’s a nightmare playing Dr. Ivo! Nobody likes to see him across the net – including Fed.

From an entertainment point of view, I think I’d rather see Verdasco vs. Fed in the quarters.

I’m all for the ‘one match at a time’ approach but the prospect of Karlović playing Roger in the next round really does seem like a nightmare. Things have really gotten out of hand here in my country (Croatia) after Karlović won against Tsonga. People have gone crazy, all but crowning him the new Wimbledon champion, which is absurd and very annoying. I know it’s completely unpatriotic of me but I’m so rooting for Verdasco tomorrow.

I agree, Karlovic is a nightmare. But I’m not seriously worried. I’m actually more worried about Soderling, because as we saw at the French, he’s got a big game and it’s going to be even bigger on grass. Although Roger won easily, I just don’t think it will be as straighforward tomorrow as it has been in the past. Just a feeling … I can’t back it up with anything.

the match I fear most – Karlovic vs Verdasco. I am seriously worried if Karlovic gets through, this next match up for Fed (assuming he gets past Soderling) will be a nightmare and a lottery….
