Jet setter Roger Federer has been spotted in yet another “top secret” training ground – this time a clay court facility on the outskirts of Zurich, with a lovely view of Lake Zurich*.
Blick reports that he is training with his under-the-radar coach, Severin Luthi, and a sparring partner named Roman Valent, who won Junior Wimbledon in 2001 but has left the pro tour due to injury.
It should do us Fed fans good to see our guy hard at work on the “off” weeks – since getting married and losing early in Monte Carlo, Federer’s been hitting the practice courts in week-long sections. First in Sardinia with fellow-pro-cum-sparring-partner, Stefan Koubek and his physio Pierre Paganini, and now with a similar crew in Zurich. (Click here for more.)
Roger’s definitely mounting a charge prior to the summer slam season!
