Wow, Radek instead of Roddick? That’s a surprise. So we have withdrawals from Rafa Nadal and Andy Roddick, and the walking wounded in Juan Martin del Potro (big toe) and Roger Federer (back.) But I’m not despairing yet, Djokovic vs. Tsonga could be a good one, if Tsonga gets his act together, and a potential semi final between either of these guys and Andy Murray wouldn’t be too shabby, either. I realize some of you noble souls haven’t given up on Roger, yet, but withdrawals seem to be contagious among the top players these days.
Ah, speaking of top players (not), I’m also regretfully announcing my withdraw from the Masters Cup! I’m going out of town, which means I’ll be separated from my DVR and unable to watch the matches. (At least I don’t have to go to a press conference and explain myself.) But I look forward to breaking down this week’s action and the entire 2008 season with all of you when I return.
