Tennis fans, we have a great Sunday ahead of us! Both of the semi finals feature live rubbers in the last day of competition! Will Russia get their act together and swipe the victory from the hometown heros in Buenos Aires? Can the U.S.A. pull off the unthinkable and break the Spanish team’s 9 year winning streak when playing on clay in Davis Cup?
In the reverse singles tomorrow: Nalbandian vs. Davydenko and del Potro vs. Andreev in Argentina and the tantalizing Nadal vs. Roddick match followed by Ferrer vs. Querrey in the bullring in Madrid. Set your DVRs my friends, because something crazy’s got to happen! It’s Davis Cup, right?

In World Group news, Roger and Stan (now dubbed “Federinka,” according to the Davis Cup website) clinched the crucial third win for the Swiss team over Belgium and repeated their bizarre victory voodoo ritual on court. Zimonjic/Troicki finished it off for Novak Djokovic and the rest of the Serbian team in their tie against the Slovak Republic. Great Britain lost the doubles to Austria, meaning that Andy Murray’s going to face his trash talking nemesis, Jurgen Melzer, in a live fourth rubber. Will he handle the pressure and prove Jurgen wrong?
Side note: Was anyone else amused to hear that Roger was so annoyed by the line calling during his singles match on Friday that he requested that each and every one of the lines people be replaced? His request was granted, of course. Click here for more.
