From GoMaria, a post Wimbledon frolic in the sand with Rafa and girlfriend Xixca (that’s one badass nickname for Maria.) Oh to be young, Spanish and friggin’ HOT! Click here for more photos.
From Alista, a bittersweet article from Sports Illustrated for all of us still-reeling Fed Fans who can’t stop replaying Sunday’s match repeatedly in our heads (with Roger converting all 13 of those break chances!). Click here for the story.
And from my friend, Natalie, an LATimes article that really bugs me. It’s basically one guy questioning Roger, Rafa, Dara (the super swimmer) and any other athlete who has ever accomplished great things, simply because they’ve accomplished great things. He complains that we can never know for sure if these athletes are clean, and that this doubt, fair or not, casts a shadow over their victories (or in Roger’s case, his defeat.) He has a point. But to pick on Roger and Rafa, without even going into the kinds of drug testing that they are subjected to or the training regimines that they endure, is irresponsible. He’s writing for a newspaper, right? Click here for the story and tell me what you think.
