I’m back and looking forward to the French. Is it just me or does it feel like it hasn’t started yet? I guess after the quick pace and exciting early round match ups of the Masters Series events, watching Djokovic v. Miguel-Angel Jaen just isn’t doing it for me.
Anyways, I had an interesting message in my inbox from Kia Motors today, asking me to post the new version of the Rafa alien video. It seems that their “viral” video wasn’t working out the way they wanted it to:
“After reviewing the comments from other blogs on the viral video, we’ve decided to modify some contents that some may find offensive. In addition, we care Nadal’s reputation as much as ours and hate to see him becoming a laughingstock with pedophilia issues.“
I wouldn’t put it like that! The video was bizarre (yes, especially the part where Rafa puts his feet up his mini-mes’ butts) but it didn’t make me think anything bad about Nadal. Except now I have to wonder about Rafa’s agent/media people – were they too busy with Roland Garros to approve the video before it went out to the masses?
Also, if you’re trying to do the “viral ” thing, shouldn’t you be willing to live with the consequences?
Anyways, in the spirit of supporting Rafa, I am posting the new version. I’m happy to see that they didn’t change anything else about this wonderfully weird video!
