I know, I know, I promised to stay mum on a certain player’s performance until he won a tourny or impregnated his girlfriend. It’s just so frickin’ HARD to stay silent on this issue.
Phew, I feel better now!
I’m a little too stunned to write anything interesting. Congrats to Roddick for a good win – it’s cool to see everything going great for someone, what with the fiancee, the NYC pied a terre, the celeb friends etc. And Roger did play, unlike when he lost to Mardy, so credit is due.
Shocking: GoMaria reports (see comment attached to the last post) that FSN pulled away during a crucial point in the third set in favor of sport fishing or some similarly oxymoronic program. Truly, is nothing sacred? I, for one, must officially record myself as a COWARD! I watched the first set, couldn’t stand it, went back to work (admittedly, I should have been working, anyways), and checked the scoreline when I got back. But if anyone else suffered through this please let us know. I’m wondering if it is a region-by-region thing?
At least Berdych-Nadal should be exciting. And I’d tune into a Roddick-Nadal final for sure.
It just FEELS wrong, somehow.
